Flight Inspection Unit

The Flight Inspection Unit of the “Etablissement National de la Navigation Aérienne ” (FIU-ENNA) is responsible for flight inspection and calibration of radio navigation aids in Algeria .

Services

Site evaluation and validation :

  • Evaluate a suitable location for a permanent NAVAID location.
  • Flight Validation Procedures.

Commissioning:

Obtain complete information as to facility performance, and establish the facility will support operational requirements.

Periodic inspection:

Regularly scheduled,determines system meetsstandards & supportsoperational requirements.

SPECIAL FLIGHT INSPECTIONS:

Inspections performedoutside the normal periodic interval. Used to define evaluate performance ofsystems, sub-systems, orindividual facilities

Flight inspection crew

The flight inspection crew normally consist soft two pilots and one or two flight Inspectors.

The member soft he flight inspection crew should be experts in their individual fields, have sound knowledge and experience in flight testing Inspection procedures and requirements ,and be capable of working as a team.

The FIU-ENNA has the following personnel to perform the flight inspection activity:

  • Five (05) pilots.
  • Two (02) Aircraft mechanics.
  • Five (05)flight inspectors (engineer).

During a calibration mission the flight inspection team consists of :

  • Two (02) pilots.
  • Two (02) flight inspectors.
  • One (01) aircraft mechanic.
